We now have, "Cause Thursdays," to help those who want to help others.

We feature dining room seating for 40+. Each evening the lights are dimmed, the tables are covered with table cloths and the guests are treated to fine dining, sophisticated deep southern style. Dinner is served Thursday-Sunday from 5-8:30pm.

Check out our popular "Chef Tasting" dinner for two. Held in an intimate setting, lit by candlelight, with one seating per night. Many weekends maintain a waiting list! Chef Gil personally assures a wonderful and carefully selected culinary experience, from the first appetizer through the dessert. Alan specially selects the wine pairings for each "Chef Tasting" and provides "commentary" about each offering as well! It’s romantic dining for two, ideal for proposals, anniversaries and special events for two.

Chef Tasting Dinner for Two

  • $125 per person. A "bargain" quoted from every couple (and small intimate group) that has experienced this.
  • Special candlelight dinner. Often in a private dining area.
  • Wine pairings from our house selections (mostly Virginia vineyards) (*)
  • Sample many appetizers, entrées and desserts. (Typically 8-12 courses!)
  • Special memory keepsake to take home and enjoy.
  • Only one seating per night, for one couple (Or your personal invited guests). Many weekend nights already have a waiting list.

       EVERY couple or intimate group that has experienced this has mentioned this among one of their most memorable (positive) dining experiences. Romance begins here; the rest is up to you.

Inn guests can reserve a “Taste of the Lafayette Inn” dinner for Monday- Wednesday evenings. 7:00 seating. (Advance reservation required).  When booking your room online you can add the "Taste of the Lafayette Inn" to your reservation, or mention it when calling in your reservation.

(*) Lunch served in Tavern with casual tavern menu. Dining room lunch service available with formal lunch menu.
